This year I was a craftsmanship judge for the main contest, and there were so many excellent entries it was hard to narrow down the field. The girl who did the Granado Espada dress won the Japan trip, her outfit was really well done with a lot of techniques utilized. My sister also went to CC this year, so while I was busy she was still out in the halls taking some pictures. Ended up with about 825 pictures online from event. |

Totally hadn't checked out fatwallet in a while, ended up it was good to scope it out again
Coinstar is doing its cash in $40 get $50 deal again. I keep my spare change in a tin for this but it still hadn't really registered that I needed to go do this by 22nd until I saw the reminder on FW. http://www.coinstar.com
Also, there was a post that Best Buy rewards zone members needed to check their accounts to see if got rewards certificate that expires on Christmas. Some got $20, $10 or so far nada. I got a $10 - I wouldn't have checked without seeing that post since I only can think of 1 thing I have bought there this year. https://myrewardzone.bestbuy.com/
And finally saw that Staples had a scanner for clearance really cheap that had attachments to help handle slides & negatives - software was complained about on forums but newer version available online that is not supposed to be as buggy. Some got new in box, I had to settle for open box as only 1 left in Louisville. Anyway, if I had paid the full $200 for this I wouldn't have been pleased but its totally okay for a $30 scanner (had 10% off coupon that used also from FW) - scanner has trouble with darker slides being really grainy but on negatives I think I may be able to salvage some more DragonCon 2002 pictures from negatives as the prints from dying Olympus camera were mostly unusable.
